Hi Friends πŸ˜€

Today is a Special day, we call it

Eid ul-Fitr aka Eid

I would like to wish you all…

Eid-Mubarak

Yes! Eid Mubarak (means, have a blessed Eid)

What is Eid ul-Fitr? Hope you all remember my post on Ramadan. Eid is a muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan. Eid means ‘festivity’ and Fitr means ‘ to break fast’, so Eid holiday symbolizes the ending of the fasting period andΒ is celebrated on the first day, after the end of the Islamic month of Ramadan.

Eid ul-Fitr is a day long celebration and is also known as the “Smaller Eid”. The “Greater Eid” is Eid al-Adha “Festival of Sacrifice” celebrated worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ismael as an act of obedience to God. Lets talk about it later..

So I would like to wish you all ‘Eid Mubarak’. If you feel like wishing me back, just say/type in ‘Eid Mubarak’

Have a great day πŸ˜€

  2. Eid Mubarak!

You did a great job …I would never have known it was a billboard. I thought you composed/created it. It’s a very effective advertisement…it makes people *WANT* on many levels!

  3. That is a very stunning billboard. Very effective advertising I would say.
Eid Mubarak! though I fail to understand why you would want to celebrate the fact that someone was willing to sacrifice is own son. Maybe one day you will explain.

  4. Oh that’s how you call it. The Philippines is on holiday Monday coz our president gives respect to those who celebrate end of ramadan. Thanks for the info of the eid. Enjoy!

  5. Eid Mubarak!

I love your photo’s and sometimes educational tidbits. Enjoy breaking your fast. Do not think I would have the willpower to not eat during the day. *listens to tummy growl*
